This is my personal review of the Ewido Free Trojan program.

My computer is an Athlon 2000 chipset based one, set up as a Dual-Boot operating system of C:Windows 98SE and D:Windows XP Home Sr1. (All of the latest updates installed) And i am running the following software as protection.

Ad-Aware SE Personal
ID-Blaster - v2.0
SpywareBlaster - v3.2
Norton Internet Security 2002 (No Anti-Virus program installed.)
SpyBot Search & Destroy 1.3
SpywareGuard - v2.20
Pop-Up Stopper Free Edition
Avast Anti-Virus program
a2 Anti-Trojan

When i first started to use this program, i found it very easy to use and it gave me some re-assurance that my computer would be protected.
I tried it out basically to try to find a program, that would allow me to remove some of the other programs on my computer that are taking up space.
The problems that i found with this program, started when theyintroduced an update that gave the user the full product free for 14 days.
After i had installed this update i had no end of problems with the Ewido Free program. As shown on the link to a forum i used to try to solve it:

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=44285

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=44285&page=2&pp=25

A memeber of the forum tried to help in the matter, who i believe has something to do with the Ewido program.
And after i had tried to help solve the problem, i was told that an update would be availiable soon to cure all of the problems that were happening.
This i am still awaiting, as with other people who are having the same problem, but with the paid for version of the Ewido program.
I am hoping that i can do an update to this review, when the program is repaired and i will add any more information into this.

I also had help from this forum and the link for this is below:

While this product does deliver excellent detection and removal quality, it hogs resources on my machine and causes major slow downs which is why I had to remove it.

I own the licensed verson. So far so good, reasonable updates low memory usage. Beats PestPatrol by a mile (also licensed)

In response to the reply to the review above.
I do not in any way want to seem like i am causing any problems.
But, i have been awaiting the latest update to the Ewido program, before i re-install it again.
And i have been watching the forum mentioned above, and i have noticed this post has been placed.

It seems that the reviewer was having a problem Ewido researched and apparently came up with a fix for. He has not updated his review since this fix was released nor has he responded to his post at Wilders. I, personally, have been using Ewido (free) for several months on XP Pro SP1 with no problems of any kind. I consider it a great FREE on demand anti Trojan
